Wisdom of the Hands

My friend, Doug Stowe, of Eureka Springs Arkansas, has just released his latest book: "The Wisdom of Our Hands: Crafting, A Life." [link to Goodreadshere]

Doug is teacher, woodworker, artist and craftsman of the highest order. His blog continues to inspire me with a mix of education philosophy, practice, pedagogy and hope.

The book received a fantastic review by Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Senior Editor Rex Nelson.

I hope the message that we need more hands-on learning continues to sink in to the education community - and impacts spending, curriculum & assessments - but most importantly: student agency and hope in their future.
