Hi friends, I graduated with an MA in History last summer and I recently started as a substitute teacher in November at a local elementary school and I like it a lot. I was considering getting an alternative licensure as an Intervention Specialist in Ohio but I'm not sure about it. I talked to another specialist at my school and she has an actual degree in the field and I'm worried I won't get a career going with just the alternative license. Has anyone here gotten their alternative license in some type of education field that can recommend doing it? I'm just kinda worried I won't make comparable money or have as many job opportunities as someone with a standard degree in the field.
