Would you consider this as cheating?

Hello all,

I'm in highschool at the moment and sometimes when I am doing an math quiz and do not know on how to solve a question I will take that question and change the digits to make sure I am not getting the answer and search it. I do this to find out on how to solve that question as sometimes I don't understand the content and this helps me sometimes understand and solve the question my self without searching for the correct answer. Would you consider this cheating?
