The Scottish education system is a joke

Last year, exams were cancelled and instead students received teacher-reviewed grades, however people from low-income areas had their grades lowered. Attainment rates are the lowest in years. There was public outrage and protests across the country. So to help students revise, the SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) said they would send out resources to help.

A couple of days ago, the SQA released exam support materials for students. These were made to help students struggling due to the COVID lockdown. However, what was in them was basic 'read the question' and 'spell words correctly' so-called advice supposed to help senior phase pupils. There was no material that actually helped the students prepare. Teachers and students were naturally furious at this, having to wait months for help only to receive a basic pamphlet of babyish info that hasn't been repeated to them thousands of times.

This is a disgrace, the SQA and the Scottish government should be ashamed of themselves.
