If I pass a class but fail the regents, do I need to retake it?

I’m in 10th grade and have a geometry regents coming up that I am not that confident about. I have passed every quarter but don’t think I will pass it no matter how much I study. Will I need to retake the class if I fail the regents or will I be fine and get the credit? I’m in NY if that matters.
