I live in a region that has a tremendous amount of caves and fossil beds. I am keenly interested in the preservation of these spaces, in educating people on these specimens, and in envionmental conservation and cleanup. I am also interested in mycology and potentially learning more about how to use mushrooms and fungi to help preserve and clean up the environment. (ie bioplastivores) I haven’t settled on exactly what I want to do, but these are of the greatest interest to me.
What major(s) would I even need to pursue in order to study these things?
*I am not interested in warnings about low pay or difficulty finding work in my field. I am interested in knowing what major(s) I need so that I can apply to university. Thanks in advance :)
