Hey, crew. My school is incorporating PBL (project-based learning) this year and I (the math teacher) and the science teacher are to collaborate on two projects for the trimester. Our plan is to make the first part regarding the data collection and analysis, and the second part the report.
Has anyone done anything of the sort? Any resources you can point us to and/or advice to share?
My students are secondary, but they tend to be fairly low and need a lot of support. It's an urban school that serves kids in the foster care system, so they have typically had many life challenges and often times need a fair amount of scaffolding. I've done smaller projects in the past, but nothing so grandiose, so I'm not totally certain how to proceed.
