Pursuing Masters with Bachelors (W/O HONS.)

Hey there!

I am soon to graduate with a BSc from an Australian university. I was wondering if I’d be able to do my masters at a top 200 university without having to pursue an honours degree post-graduation. Below are my questions:

1. Is an honours degree a requirement to pursue masters in reputable universities (namely the U.K.)?

2. Why do an honours degree take a study duration of 4 years in Australia, while some other countries (like the U.K.) take up to 3 years only?
