What lesson plans are the most challenging to teach? Where do students struggle with motivation and the ability to transfer knowledge?

I was going to develop a poll, but open-ended responses of any length will probably serve better. This is an opportunity for problem-based approaches and identifying pain points for educators. I think it will be good to share these challenges and allow others to respond with their thoughts and experiences. Complicating this challenge is digital and remote learning, online lessons have to be more challenging for a lot of people, teachers and students, and even parents.

What are the most challenging lessons to teach? Which are the hardest to maintain engagement, attention, and motivation? Feel free to answer in any way that you feel. Thanks for reading. I appreciate responses if you have something to add as well.
