Highly unusual, I know, but this professor was mental. I had written a poem about times I got bullied in the past as a coping mechanism and this girl in the class thought the poem was about her (she was a narcissist and bullied me in the first week of school but the poem wasn't about her). She marched up to the professor and the professor, my God, was triggered. He constantly asserted that I wrote a poem about a another student, ran down everything I had to say, and didn't even calm down when I said "It'll never happen again." He also informed me the poem violated a student code of conduct. Later I said I wanted to drop the class so he got further triggered and escalated the issue to the department chair. She called me and told me later she didn't understand why the professor was so upset, and he strongly and aggressively told her I " deliberately wrote a poem about another student." I called the student code of conduct office and the guy there said "even if the poem was about a student there were no codes violated, and he knows the professor will never take this to the student code of conduct office."
The professor's narcissistic behavior had a huge impact on my mental health and I was able to drop the class because of it. I've told a lot of people and they all said this was the professor's fault. I just can't believe professors like him exist. I was doing well in his class, I had an A+ but it really looks like the professor was jealous of my capabilities and the fact I was the only one who took notes in class during lectures lol. It just feels hard to move on from this.
