I am currently in an education class that is preparing us for the turmoil that comes with teaching (conflicting ideals with students, how to control anger in the classroom, social injustice topics) and the topic of angry parents came up recently. I have heard my fair share of stories about parents from my dad (he's a retired hs band director), and I'd like some advice about how to deal with these situations. Especially when student's parents don't like when their kids are taught about racism and generally other views. Any thoughts?
