This is from my experience, but I was wondering why certain colleges or at least the state college I attended, why are resume helping staff usually not within the prospected field that you are from? If I want to apply somewhere that is geared towards social behavioral sciences why is it that the only help the career center offers is someone from the English department? Not to say or diss any staff member, but I feel that it would be best to have someone from the field you are in to review what you have and answer questions because to my knowledge, certain resume and information is tailored to fit specific fields.
