Guys and girls of reddit from all over the world, does your elementary or primary school correct your child’s spelling or focus on it at all?

My 4th grade son never has his spelling corrected at all to the point that it’s clearly obvious that it isn’t focused on at all and I’m interested to know if it’s cause that the standard now a days or it’s truly cause we live in New Mexico which is bottom of the barrel when it comes to education in America.
