Hi, everyone, I'm russian. Putin just destroyed my future. I'm not gonna go into details, but I had therapy for past couple of years and now I finally pulled my shit together and was about to enter the university. I wanted to study linguistics and I was preparing for exams for the last year. And now I feel like in 5 years Russia will be an isolated and hated country viewed as public enemy. I feel like education in Russia is useless now and I'm not leaving under the iron curtain for the rest of my life, I've already drowned good chunk of my youth (I'm 28) in depression.
I'm not letting this person to end my dream, it's the only thing that holds me right now. I will be running no matter what, but I'd like to know if there is an option for education for foreigners, who have very small amount of money. I'm willing and actually really want to learn any language required to become a citizen of whatever country will be welcome to adopt me. If you're interested in what exactly I was looking for, I wanted to become a teacher of Russian language for foreigners, but I think the demand will drastically fall in the near future. The other option I had in mind is to study east asian languages. Honestly, anything connected to linguistics is fine.
