Is it okay to shy away from an AP class if you don't feel ready?

I want to take AP Physics and AP Environmental Science. AP Physics is offered at my school, but I don’t think I’m ready for it, people tell me it’s super hard. If I don’t take it now, I’m going to have to take it in college, and then I have to worry about money.
