Can school keep me out?

Hello! For the past week I’ve been fainting randomly at my high school and one time outside of school. I went to the ER twice and they tell us nothing is wrong. I have to wait a few days too see my pediatrician again. Last time I saw my pediatrician she said everything was fine but then I fainted again so my mom got an appointment with a different one and is hoping to see if they suggest anything. More important information is that last year I had various panic attacks that where really bad like I couldn’t respond or move bad and while those where related to my mental health the current fainting has nothing to do with it. I consulted with my therapist and she dosent believe it’s mentally related and neither do I. Whenever I faint I feel fine at max 10 minutes later I just need some time to reciprocate. Their telling me I can’t come back unless I get another doctors note and their not letting me go back to class after I recover. I know it’s bad and can get the school in trouble if I get injured but I don’t want to keep missing class. So can they actually keep me out is this legal? I have to wait for medical testing but what if that’s takes too long? I mean I don’t love school but my education is important to me I want to graduate and there’s no way I can if I keep being absent.
