Confusion on US colleges vs Asian colleges

Hey everyone,
I've been wrestling with a thought lately, and I'd love to get your insights on it. I'm trying to figure out the differences in opportunities between US college graduates and their foreign counterparts.
Specifically, I'm interested in understanding how students who have completed their education at prestigious Asian universities like Tohoku University, KAIST, Hanbin Tech, etc., compare to those who graduated from tier 2 or 3 liberal arts colleges such as Colby, FandM, Carleton, and others.
I'm curious about who might have the upper hand, especially when it comes to pursuing graduate programs in the United States or Europe. If any of you have faced a similar dilemma or have expertise in this area, I'd greatly appreciate your insights.
And here's the kicker: let's assume the cost is the same across the board. If you were in my shoes, which one would you choose?
