Need opinion on appropriateness of a teacher’s sign off

Hi, I work in a public adult high school, and I have a colleague who regularly signs off their emails with “by His grace.” I feel like that’s weird given we are a public school, but whatever.

Well, I just realized they sign all of their emails and posts to students the same way. I feel like this is inappropriate, but maybe my disdain for organized religion is clouding my judgement.

Thoughts?

For context: I’m at a verrrry diverse school in CA.
