Following up on an interview advice.

I am a first year elementary teacher and have applied and interviewed with several schools. The one school that I prefer over the others interviewed with me on Friday. I felt it went well. They assured me they would let me know by the following Wednesday. It Is now Friday morning and I still haven’t heard anything. I am thinking of waiting until about 4 pm before potentially emailing them.

What would be a good way to phrase my inquiry? Or should I not even bother? Any advice helps. Thanks.
