Anyone here know anything about IEPs?

I am 15 years old and have a IEP. My advisor is refusing to let me take a honors class best year and I really want to. It can’t hurt I can end up dropping it if it’s that hard. I am so much smarter then the school let’s on I play football come home and read. That’s my day. All I do is read and read and read I’ve read so many books and love history so much this guy is restricted me from challenged my myself. Do I have to listen to him? Is there a way around this? I’ll get a lawyer if I have to I will take honors next year.
