Can I be a teacher with a felony record?

I'm halfway through my undergrad, age 23. Before I went into college, immediately after highschool, I got into a nasty spiral of a lifestyle that resulted in being arrested on 4 felony counts involving trafficking drugs. They offered me a deal where I worked for them for about 6 months and the DA dropped my charges. Unfortunately, up until recently, I didn't realize that my felony arrests would show up on my record even though I was never convicted. I've just got the results for my clearances for student teaching back which included an FBI background check. My arrests are obviously on there.

Am I done for? Do schools hire teachers with felony arrests? Does it matter that I wasn't convicte Does anyone have any anecdotes regarding their experiences with anyone like this? I'm feeling pretty broken about it all, I've tried so hard and done so much to turn my life around and yet there's still this record on my back. I hope I don't have to drop out and pursue another path but if that's the way I guess that's the way.
