Growing up I was home schooled because my parents were full time over the road truckers and it lead to me to cheat on the work as a kid and it kept up till I was old enough to just flat out "quit" and obviously I regret all that as an uneducated 23 year old. I took entrance classes to a ged program and even guessing on the multiple choice questions I got 38% right. Science was similar but reading and social studies were passable at about 85%.
When I'm asked questions it's like my brain feels cloudy like there's some sort of lock that I have to find a key for. When I try to break down math equations I can't keep my brain from just wandering and when I can focus (really bad A.D.D) it's like my brain tries to skip steps so I always reach the wrong conclusion.
It's frustrating because I've done 3 nights of the classes and we've been covering fractions the whole time and the whole time, it's been extremely difficult and I'm just lost. What can I do in my free time to get educated? I already vowed no drinking because I feel it could harm my brain and ability to retain information, cutting video game time in favor of studying. The only other thing is I work full time but I really want my diploma and then degree.
