In need of help

Hi everyone

I am a 25 (soon 26) year old.

The whole ordeal revolves around the fact that I really want to get an education that I can be proud of and earn a lot/enough money so that I can provide and help my family if and when it is needed.

The problem is that I am not the best at being under education, don't get me wrong, I am not a total slack with the lowest grades. Just not where I want to be. And if I'm not sure if it is the right path, then I know I wont be putting my all into it.

I am affraid if I start somewhere that I can't keep up or that I don't actually want to study the thing I have chosen.

I would like to study engineering or economics.

But I am terrible at knowing what I want.

I would really love some imputs.
