Haven’t gone to alternative school for two years when originally assigned. Is there a way to still go to school?

Hi! so I(15f) got suspended 2 years ago from 8th grade, but I want to go into 9th grade next school year. My mom didn’t want me to go alternative school and so I never went and stayed homeschooled, but I really want to try school again. Do we talk to the school board and see what we can do?
