Hello!
I have a 16 year old daughter who is telling me that she isn’t feeling challenged enough at school. She’s currently attending an IB school and doing exceedingly well, and is craving something more.
I suggested that she consider trying a college level class online, and she’s open to that, but also wondering if there might be other options to consider as well? She doesn’t really have any particular area of interest but leans hard toward geography and languages.
Would love to hear any suggestions. Also, how does it work if a high school student wants to take a college course? Does she need to apply for admission first? Are there any non-obvious implications to her taking a college class or two? We lived in the US prior to moving to Norway 2 years ago (she is a dual citizen) - there are no colleges near us, so it would have to be online, and I’m sure she would prefer an American school to do it in English.
