Do any elementary school teacher still do something like the "sharing can"?

In my Kindergarten class (2007-2008), we had an old metal coffee can that was called the "sharing can". Every day someone would take it home and put a toy or something in it. At school the next day, they'd give clues about it to the class, and whoever guessed what it was got to be the next sharing can holder, rinse/repeat. I guessed a girl's BJ the dinosaur doll from Barney & Friends, and I put in a Fiona McDonald's toy from Shrek the Third.
