I’m going to start university next september and can’t choose between the two programs so I need a little help.
I don’t know which would be more useful. I heard that you can’t really find a job with int studies but I really doubt that’s true.
The two programs are very similar in my opinion, the only difference is that in IS there are some culture and history related subjects and you have to learn a language through the years but the rest is just like IR, so politics and economics pretty much.
I’m really interested in diplomacy so because of that I’d choose IR but int studies just sounds a little more interdisciplinary for me which I like.
The international studies program give a BA and the international relations one gives a BSc.
Can anyone help me out? I really don’t want to make a decision that I’ll regret so I hope someone can give me some advice on which would be better to choose. Perhaps some of you have one of the said degrees.
