Is it better to study something specific or something broader? for example Audio engineering VS Media Arts

I gotta decide for a uni to enroll in and im torn between Audio Engineering, or Media arts which also involves Audio Engineering as well as some film, design and animation stuff..

Im wondering tho, Media arts with main subject Audio and 2 Semesters with a LITTLE Film, Animation and Design stuff... does it actually increase job chances to the point where it would be worth taking over Audio engineering?

What i mean is, i dont think just 2 semesters of having a LITTLE film, design etc. stuff wont enable me to take jobs in that field especially vs people that do that stuff fulltime right?

Does a specified course make more sense? or a broader one....
