Affirmative action is racism

I Firmly believe that affirmative action is racist and wrong.

Part One: It doesn’t help black people

If your problem is weather you can get into MIT or not then you are not very disadvantaged, it also reduces the achievement of people who are from an ‘disadvantaged’ back ground who can genuinely enjoy the same success without the aid of affirmative action.

In some cases people are seen as less capable just because of affirmative action may have been an element during the consideration of the application.

Also standards are made to make sure that one can keep up with the rest of the workforce or student population, if due to the lowered expectations for entry the a lot of the admitted subjects may not have the ability to catch up.

Part Two: It throws us Asians under the bus

We Asians aren’t privileged, many of us comes from a poor socioeconomic background, many of us have parents who work day and night trying to afford us an education. We value education because we know it’s the way for upward mobility, we spend days studying when the other kids are playing outside. We have to work just as hard to have the same results. But because of our culture and the colour of our skin they seek to
Destroy us, they seek to strangle us and take away our rightful equal opportunities.

The act of affirmative action is meant to be an act of charity from white men, but the opportunities they are giving away to people of presumed disadvantage aren’t theirs to give! It is stealing, it is a robbery. They are forcing another race to give up their shit! How is this different to the authoritarian society on the other side of the ocean.(an act of charity is giving up your own shit and not other people’s.)

Think about it, we are assigned to our ethnicities at birth we have no control so why are we punished for it ?

Before you say ‘just work harder and quit whining’ , the percentage of Asian American have dramatically increased during the past half a century but the representation of Asian Americans in prestigious American schools have stayed fairly constant. So essentially we are fighting with each other for our rightful opportunities. I say to hell with that, if we are going to fight anything it should be this corrupt system.
