Hello everyone. I recently found this subreddit and wanted to join the conversation. I am an English educator (that's what I call myself considering the wide range of things I do at my job) and I was wondering if anyone who works with kids gets sick as often as I do. I was sick three weeks ago (not COVID) and it took about 4-5 days to get over. Now I'm sick again and it hasn't even been a month since I was last sick! This has been happening on and off for almost 2 years for me, and I have been at my job for 4.5 years.
I wear a mask when around my students even though it's not mandatory anymore. I wash my hands approximately every half hour. I use hand sanitizer religiously, and I sanitize work stations between every student (every hour). I'm considering double masking now because I'm almost certain I get sick from working with kids so much (2-5 hours a day, 6 days a week—and I barely go out to do things other than going to the gym and seeing my boyfriend). Any tips?
