im a 10th grader in jordan, and ive been sitting with this feeling for a while now, we memorize hundred page books, material we wont touch again unless we end up teaching that same page to the next kid, and thats basically a loop feeding itself, not learning, i keep asking myself where the creativity went, where the real world skill went, and i dont get a clear answer, so im asking people outside jordan now, teachers, students, parents, anyone whos been through a school system that felt different, what did your system get right, what did it get wrong, i built a small study app on the side called ilmak cus i was tired of waiting for someone else to fix it, quizes, flashcards, a worksheet solver that walks step by step instead of just handing the answer, but honestly this post isnt about the app, its about the question, is memorization ever going to be enough, or are we all just stuck grinding for a job market that doesnt even want what we memorized,
