I teach kiddos with disabilities whose ages range from 2 - 5 years! When walking the halls as a class, I often notice other children staring and whispering amongst themselves.

In response, I sometimes hear other adults telling their students to “stop staring” or “quiet down. I finally found the perfect shirt to combat these awkward situations!

I think inclusion in school is so important! It breaks my heart to see how some children (and adults) react to my students. They have no clue what they are missing out on. My kiddos are courageous, kind, inquisitive little humans who have so much to offer this world.

My hope is that other teachers in my building see this shirt, and are reminded that my students are no different than theirs. That it is important to say hello and start those meaningful conversations! We all have so much to learn from one another.
