Hi! I've been teaching for about 4 years now. I love teaching itself, the kids, my coworkers, but everything outside of these areas have been really getting to me. I taught in AZ where I received no benefits and no health confidentiality. We had to get our preventative checkups done at the school, so we had nurses take our blood samples, blood pressure, weight, etc., at the school for everyone to see and hear. There's so much more. Anyway, the second school, there was a huge lack of resources. I paid for everything out of pocket, and still got no benefits. I moved states where I now receive benefits, and that's amazing. I get paid less, but at least I get health insurance. However, I'm thinking of calling it quits. I'm interested in a career where I can grow, advance in opportunities, make more money, etc. I'm thinking of going into insurance because I have about 3 years of recruiting experience. What do most teachers do when they want to find better growth opportunities? Thanks!
