Is further education considered one of the most popular trends in education

Hello everyone, I am doing a research on FURTHER EDUCATION and I got so much question about:

+ Are UK and Ireland the only 2 countries applying further education ?

+ Is further education considered one of the most popular trends in education ?

+ We have already admitted that further education (FE) is a very effective way for students to learn skills that universities do not have but why its popularity still remains low. (especially in ASIA)
