I’m currently in high school, but I’m considering switching to homeschool and getting my GED. I have good reasons to do this: getting a job to save money, paying my own bills, getting my license. If I stay in school, I would have one year left but I failed five classes that I have to make up and I’m worried I won’t be able to finish before my class graduates. I also have depression and anxiety that causes me to miss days in a row. The only thing keeping me from getting my GED to start my life earlier is how I will miss out on certain things: prom, senior year, my friends and possibly the graduation ceremony (I most likely would be able to walk with my class). I know I might regret getting my GED but I want to be prepared for my life better. I grew up poorer so saving money wasn’t an option and now I do have the option. This will help my future a lot but I’m worried I’d miss not having a senior year. Opinions?
