Hi, I remember a while ago now (maybe a year) the government's school guidance posted a list of new rules and one of them stated something like:
"A publicly stated desire to abolish or overthrow democracy, capitalism or to end free and fair elections".
Now, as someone who thinks we need a complete reform of our political system, and who is a hard anti-capitalist, this just seems ridiculous to me, that you, as teachers, aren't allowed to teach your students from the other side of the capitalist/communist movements, based on that sentence.
To me, this seems like the government is getting worried there's a rising population of young people who are becoming anti-capitalist as their system slowly starts to fall to bits, and they're just putting a padlock on future generations even knowing about it through schools.
So basically, I'm just asking teachers how they feel about this and if they're doing anything about it.
Thanks :)
