Why does this field, and this subreddit in particular, attract so many naïve tech weirdos who think they've discovered the "one neat trick" to fixing education?

Are other fields this bad? Does the front page of r/medicine consist mostly of 0-vote posts with dumb app ideas and links to stupid YouTube videos that have no useful content? What is it about the education space makes not-very-bright people think they are the FIRST ONES EVER to notice any particular problem or think of any particular solution?

I'm so frustrated.
