Do college professors make way more than highschool teachers?

I live in Los Angeles and was looking at the starting salary for professors at my college only to find out that it's almost at $70K/year and can make up to $130K/year!

Compared to my highschool where starting salaries for teachers is like at $40K/year and can make up to $80K, is that the case for every professor vs teacher?
