Has the pandemic influenced believing in Santa?

I teach in a K-8 Catholic school. Our students are probably more sheltered than public school students. I was recently talking with our 6th grade teachers and was shocked to learn that most of this year's 6th graders still believe in Santa. The teachers confirmed that in past years it would have only been a couple per class who were still believers. I can't help but to wonder if the pandemic has been a factor. The kids still socialize and have social media, but has less socialization made them less street wise? They seem like a less mature bunch, but is that also due to the chaos of the pandemic?
