As an Asian, I have always felt that it is a general perception in the west, that we take our academics more seriously

Just wanted a general opinion of the community whether this is true?

What kind of educational goals do the parents usually have for their children is the US or the west in general? If you would have to compare the education level in Asia to the one in the west especially for Math and Science for the younger kids, how would you rate the two and which one would you prefer?

Also, would love to know how has the pandemic changed the education space? Have people been trying solutions on the internet more often and if that is the case, what do they like/not like about them? What has been the hardest part in this transition, basically, what kind of reservations are there before trusting these solutions?

And are the change in habits going to stick post lockdowns given the exposure to the vast content that students and parents have had or there would have to be some other motivations to continue with the virtual learnings?
