I applied to 83 jobs this summer, and I received 6 interview requests. Some of the jobs were subsequently closed or filled, but the majority remain unknown. They're still posted as available but I haven't heard anything from the schools.
Clearly, my resume and cover letter are working or I wouldn't get any interview requests. It's just surreal how slow this is taking.
