How long to get a masters degree?

Sorry if this sounds dumb but I genuinely do not know, how long does it take to get a master’s degree? If I get a bachelors in chemistry, could I get a masters in business administration ? Or a completely unrelated subject like a masters in economics after my bachelors? (These are completely random subjects, I’m just picking them as examples for this q ) And would that just be an additional 2 years to get that masters? Or would you have to do a bachelors in the same subject u want a masters in? (Ex: bachelors in chem in order to pursue and obtain a masters in chem)
