I want to start a science based private school as an alternative option to Christian/Catholic private schools. Do these exist already? I feel like every time I look at private schools, they are all highly religiously affiliated. Meanwhile, public schools can't teach science, research, social justice, ect. properly for fear of crazy, irate parents who claim we are indoctrinating their children. I played a 10 second CNN clip in my classroom once and I thought a student's dad was going to murder me. I just want to go somewhere where I can teach actual science, real social studies, how to check your sources, how to think critically, ect., without being afraid of being shivved in the parking lot. Am I out of line here?
