Parent needs advice

My child is in 7th grade. He has an IEP and struggles with math. He basically lost a year of instruction last year due to COVID, and his recent standardized testing scores show he “does not meet expectations.” Now my son just came home this week and told me that his teacher announced to the class that she will be leaving next month and she will not be discussing it further (?). I confirmed with the principal that this is accurate and they are currently looking for a replacement.

As a parent, I am extremely concerned that my child going to be behind 2 full years due to all of this. I’m doubtful they are going to be able find a qualified math teacher as a replacement during the middle of the year. The school is just going to shuffle a bunch of substitutes in and out of this class until June.

Any advice for me as a parent?
