For context, I'm looking to get into gunsmithing as a career choice; the money isn't really there but the soul and the passion to learn and create definitely is. I want to know what I can do going into my senior year of high-school. Yes, I'm a junior and I have 1 year to get some advancement. I already know a good chunk about firearms themselves and how they work, but is there anything I can do before going to Murray State? I'd like to boost my chances of getting accepted by getting as many firearm-related experiences to put in my resume as I can as only 30 persons are accepted for the class per year. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm sorry if it's a dumb question, I've tried doing some Google-fu but it has failed me for the most part.
