Good News Sources for Teaching Writing

Hi! I'm putting together a writing class for EFL students that is based on current events, and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I'm looking for any news sites that fit the following criteria:

• Written news at a b2 level (basically high intermediate English level)
• Are about current events that matter, so not some celebrity changing their hairstyle
• Follow an essay style format (introductions, topic sentences, supporting sentences, etc.), not just newspaper blurbs.
• Articles are 600-1,500 words long. (about 2-5 pages long)
