Hello all, not sure if this works here but figured I would give it a shot. If you think it should be someplace else please let me know.
So I have been wanting to pursue a masters degree for some time. When I was an undergraduate I remember thinking about getting a graduate degree but at that point I was working on two bachelors degrees and was ready to be done with school.
Since my graduation, 2.5 years ago, I have kept thinking about wanting to continue my education partly for me and partly because it has been my experience that potential employers don’t really seem to care about my bachelors degrees. So I am looking to improve myself.
I did start an online masters in chemistry earlier this year but quickly realized it was not really something I wanted to do at all. Now I am looking at in person graduate schools because I need that support and sense of community and belonging.
My struggle, and the reason I reach out now, is that I really don’t know how to decide which program to choose because my interests are so varied. I want something I enjoy but that also has real world value; those don’t always align. What method(s) would you use to determine what is the best direction for a graduate degree(s)? Any help is much appreciated.
P.S. I have a BS in chemistry and a BS in education if that helps.
