Alright so I had an idea and I want feedback, especially if it’s a dumb idea. The idea goes as follows: Every “work period” day, a different student is asked his or her favourite song. That song is then played on YouTube music, with auto play on to let the algorithm decide the playlist. This then A, allows the students to listen to something other than their classmates sniffling and scribbling, B, allows the students to open up about something personal but not super touchy feely, C, allows students to learn about different artists if their preferred genres are the same, or the nuances of a genre if their preferences differ, and D, promote tolerance of others’ views. For instance, if Classmate A hates Classmate B’s genre of music. This can be toned with “Everybody gets a turn/Not everyone likes the same thing”, which 1 is a truth and 2 is a life lesson in tolerance. I personally do not have a professional education background, but I think this may be effective. However, I could be full of crap. Thoughts?
