Hi fellow educators! I’d like to hear from folx who have gone into administration at any point about what spurred your decision. How did you know that it was time for you to move into admin? What was your reason?
I’ve read about the pros and cons and spoken to administrators about their experiences, good and bad. So I’m not necessarily looking to hear how your experience was once you became an admin, just what prompted that decision. For context, I’ve been teaching 10 years, middle school all the way up to college, and I am firmly in the world of independent schools with no real desire to return to public schools. So if you have independent school experience, that would also be a plus. I enjoy teaching, but I really enjoy and feel I’m good at leadership roles when I have had the chance to have them.
