I'm currently a junior in high school. There's only spring semester left before I seriously need to start applying to colleges.
My dream has always been to pursue a law degree. However, I heard that the industry can be competitive and I want some flexibility for my future.
My current plan is to go to college, major in political science, and minor in business (finances). But.. I'm currently seriously considering dropping the political science degree because I heard (but I'm not sure) that most degrees are applicable for law school, anyways. Also liberal arts degrees are more or less, useless.
What would be the best route for me to take to ensure success? There's a few things I have to consider:
- A degree that would best be suited for law school.
- A degree that would still be applicable to most jobs if getting into law doesn't work out for me.
- A degree that is stable and flexible.
Of course, I can always double major. It'd take more time, definitely, and I know it's helpful, but I'm unsure if it's the smartest, most efficient route. I'm willing to put in work, but not if it's not going to pay out fairly.
Please help me create a plan so I can prepare! Any advice will be appreciated.
